Dear Friends of Noriko Wright,
As you know our beloved friend Noriko passed away on December 23, 2016 after a very determined and brave fight with a very aggressive form of multiple myeloma cancer.
At her family’s request a simple memorial service will be held for family and friends at New Hope Academy on Saturday, March 4 at 1:00 p.m.
Before her passing, Noriko gave clear directions as to how she wanted to be remembered. She chose to donate her body to science, to keep things simple, and hopefully it will also help others, which is something she was always doing.
She was adamant that her memorial service had to be an up-beat, happy affair. She wanted dancing afterwards, and she specifically said we had to have some bossa nova music, as that was her favorite. She wanted people to come dressed colorfully, and she encouraged us to tell funny stories about memories we shared with her.
So as we promised her, that is what we have planned. We have a couple of speakers, but are looking for a few more, who have funny little stories they would like to share at the service. Please call or email me if you have a special story you’d like to share.
Following the service there will be dancing, and light refreshments will be served. Please freely forward this information to Noriko's friends, as I know many people are not on my email list.
We truly look forward to honoring and celebrating Noriko with you
I will send a reminder as we get closer to the date. An RSVP is appreciated.
