Where is this event going to be?
It will be on National Mall across from Union Square, which is west of the Capital building.
Where will I be sitting?
Plan to sit on the grass. It's best to bring a blanket to sit on. Please note that lawn chairs and beach umbrellas are NOT ALLOWED. This policy is enforced in order to preserve the grass. Cleats are also not to be worn for the same reason.
Besides reserved VIP seating, It's first come first serve. Please offer your seat to handicapped, elderly, expecting women, etc.
How do I get there?
1. Take the bus
Departure time — Saturday 12:30pm boarding, 1:00pm departure
Departure location — Melford Center (4801 Tesla Dr. Bowie MD 20715)
Return — 6:00pm boarding, 6:30pm departure
Return location — To be announced by bus captain
Cost — $5 per person, $10 per family. Cash only. Payable to bus captain.

2. Drive down
We recommend parking at the Union Station Parking Garage

3. Take the Metro
The map below shows the nearest subway stops to event site. Includes green, yellow, red, blue, orange, and silver lines.
Access to Restrooms?
We are ordering several portal johns. These will be located near the event venue. Public restrooms can be found in the museums.
What should I bring?
Blanket — The great majority of participants will be sitting on the grass.
Hat and sunscreen — Praying for perfect weather, but be prepared for sun.
Food, snacks and water — There will be food vendors buzzing around, but you'll be glad you brought your own.
Umbrella — Present weather forecast shows a 20% chance of rain. It doubles as shade.
Cell phone power bank — Helpful to ensure the life of your phone battery.
Comfortable Clothes and Shoes — Prepare to do a lot of walking. The national mall is 2 miles long and 0.3 miles wide.
Frisbee — Lots of open space for frisbee tossing.
What's going on between 12-2pm?
1. Family Fun Booths
UPF, CARP, WFWP, FFWPU National, DC Family, New Hope Family, Baltimore Family, and NOVA Family will each have a 10' x 10' booth with information and activities.
2. Guided Tour — 12pm
Matthew Goldberg will lead a small group around the mall. Matthew is a professional tour guide who has a wealth of knowledge on the each site. Pokemon Go players are welcome to join and catch Pokes along the way! We'll have pokestops lured up all over!
3. Pokemon Go Contest
Will begin when people come back from the guided tour.
4. Pick-up Sports
Ultimate frisbee and other pick-up sports.
