Anthony Lehrer, the 16-year-old son of P.J. and Moe Ito Lehrer ascended yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon to the spiritual world. Anthony had suffered all his life from a genetic disorder, called Wolf-Hirschorn syndrome or PRDS, which rendered him severely handicapped. Although his life-expectancy was limited, his sudden cardiac arrest yesterday came very unexpected for this parents.
The Lehrers will hold a prayer vigil for Anthony every day at their home from 8-10 pm until the Seonghwa. Friends of the family are welcome to join the Lehrers in their home (Please note their new address: 5307 Randolph Rd., Apt. 2, Rockville, MD 20852.) Community members are encouraged to join the prayer either at the Lehrers or in their own homes. Details about the Anthony's Seonghwa will be announced later.
Anthony Lehrer's Seonghwa will be on Sunday, April 9, 2:30 pm, at the New Hope Family at Melford (4801 Tesla Dr., Suite M, Bowie, MD 20715). His parents invite friends and the community on Saturday, April 8 for his viewing at the Borgwardt Funeral Home, 4400 Powder Mill Rd, Beltsville, MD 20705, (301) 937-1707), between 4:30 and 8 pm. They also invite friends and the community to his Wonjeon on Monday, April 10, 10 am, at the Fort Lincoln Cemetery, 3401 Bladensburg Rd, Brentwood, MD 20722.
